We want to extend our deepest gratitude for the incredible generosity of Elevate Church, IL for funding a special shopping trip for the 14 orphans at ACREJAH Orphanage and 30 orphans at La Bergerie Orphanage. Thanks to their generosity, these 44 children experienced something truly life-changing—something they will never forget.

For most of these orphans, it was the very first time they had ever had the chance to go to a clothing and shoe store to pick out brand-new outfits and shoes. This is a privilege most of us take for granted, but for these children, it was an incredibly exciting and emotional experience. Until now, they have been accustomed to receiving hand-me-downs from second-hand stores or donated items, so this shopping experience filled them not only with joy, but also with a sense of dignity and pride.

The kindness of our partners and leadership of our HRI team gave these children more than just new clothes and shoes—it has given them confidence, a renewed sense of self-worth, and a reminder that they are loved and valued. Seeing their faces light up as they picked out their new outfits was a moment of pure happiness and gratitude.
