HRI provides micro-enterprise training and loan opportunities to victims of economic insecurity in both urban and rural communities struck by extreme poverty, high rates of illiteracy, and areas with little to no sources of opportunity. The primary target population for these efforts are women - who are largely responsible for the well-being of the children - including their nutrition, health, and education. HRI also leads a micro-enterprise training program to equip orphaned and abandoned youth for success before they age out of the orphanages where they live.
