We witness it most clearly in many developing countries where women bear and raise children, walk hours for water and wood, prepare meals, tend to crops and care for animals. If not for women's strength and daily initiative, the mere survival of their extremely vulnerable children and themselves might not be possible. HRI's strategy to ignite the power of women and increase their potential for full participation in local and regional economies, healthcare, education, nutritional decisions, as well as leadership roles in their nations focuses on: 1.
